Vulnerability Description A sandbox bypass vulnerability exists in Oracle Java. The vulnerability is due to a failure to restrict access toprivate methods via reflection. A remote unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by enticing a user to visit a webpage containing a maliciously crafted Java applet. Successful exploitation could result in arbitrary code execution in the contextof the currently logged in user.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Oracle Java Private MethodHandle Sandbox Bypass protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
