ISC BIND 9.6.x prior to 9.6-ESV-R10-P2
ISC BIND 9.7.x
ISC BIND 9.8.x prior to 9.8.6-P2
ISC BIND 9.9.x prior to 9.9.4-P2
A denial of service vulnerability exists in ISC BIND. The vulnerability is due to a failure to handle queries for NSEC3-signed zones. A remote attacker may exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted query.
This protection will detect and block attempts to exploit this vulnerability.
In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

How Can I Protect My Network?
- In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the ISC BIND NSEC3-Signed Zones Queries Processing Denial of Service protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
- Install policy on all modules.
