Who is Vulnerable? Adobe Flash Player 15.0.0.223 and earlier versions
Adobe Flash Player 13.0.0.252 and earlier 13.x versions
Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.418 and earlier versions for Linux
Vulnerability Description A write what where vulnerability exists in Adobe Flash Player. The vulnerability is due to a memory corruption when handling ByteArray objects. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by enticing a target user to open a crafted file. A successful attack could result in the execution of arbitrary code in the security context of the target user.

This protection will detect and block attempts to exploit this vulnerability.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R80 / R77 / R75 / R71 / R70

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Adobe Flash Player Memory Corruption (APSB14-26: CVE-2014-8439) protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all Security Gateways.
