Who is Vulnerable? Adobe Flash Player 16.0.0.257 and earlier
Vulnerability Description A double free memory vulnerability has been reported in Adobe Flash Player. The issue occurs while sharing a bytearray between two workers. If one worker calls bytearray.compress() while the other uses that bytearray, the code does not handle the race correctly and leads to double free, which can lead to undefined behavior, usually a system crash.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R80 / R77 / R75 / R71 / R70

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Adobe Flash Player Double Free (APSB15-03: CVE-2015-0312) protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all Security Gateways.
