Check Point Software Technologies Announces Channel Partner Alliance Program Program Offers Resellers and VARs Comprehensive Combination of Sales, Marketing and Support Resources

REDWOOD CITY, CALIF., – July 28, 1997 -- Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKPF), a leader in enterprise security software, today announced the Check Point Partner Alliance Program, a comprehensive program designed to offer value-added services and incentives for Check Point resellers, VARs, distributors and Authorized Training Centers. The program provides Check Point VARs and resellers with access to sales, marketing and support resources to enhance their competitive differentiation and business success.

Partner Categories Within the Check Point Partner Alliance Program

Check Point Partner Alliance members are divided into the following categories: Premier, Authorized, Distribution and Training Partners. The Premier and Authorized Partner designations denote sequential categories for direct and indirect resellers who carry the Check Point product line. Distribution partners include those that sell the Check Point product line to the indirect reseller channel. Training partners operate Check Point Authorized Training Centers (ATCs), deliver quality technical training regarding general Internet and Intranet security issues and the Check Point product line. ATCs offer curriculum enabling students to receive the official degrees of CCSA (Certified Check Point Security Administrator) or CCSE (Certified Check Point Security Engineer).

Partners are granted levels of access to sales, marketing and support services on the basis of their assigned membership category. To qualify for a membership category, partners must meet established requirements including defined levels of technical training, sales/support accomplishment and commitment to the Check Point Software product line.   • access to Check Point's Marketing and Technical Knowledge Bases for up-to-date technology and industry information
  • eligibility to participate in beta testing programs of future releases
