IBM TO OEM CHECK POINT FIREWALL-1

Market-leading Network Security Solution Now Available on IBM RS/6000 Platform

REDWOOD CITY, CA -- April 30, 1997 -- Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKPF), a leader in network security software, today announced that IBM will OEM its new Check PointTM FireWall-1TM for AIX enterprise security software suite, also announced today. FireWall-1 for AIX will be available from IBM for its RS/6000TM server family.

The addition of FireWall-1 for AIX makes Check Point the only network security software vendor to support all major commercial server platforms, including Sun Solaris, HP-UX, Microsoft Windows NT and IBM AIX-based systems. Check Point and IBM will be demonstrating the new FireWall-1 for AIX on an RS/6000 server in the Check Point booth (#111 North Hall) at NetWorld + Interop Las Vegas May 6th through 8th.

FireWall-1 will be available from IBM and its authorized resellers in the third quarter of 1997 as a stand-alone software product or as part of an RS/6000 Internet POWERsolutionTM . FireWall-1 for AIX will also be available through Check Point authorized distributors and resellers.

RS/6000 Internet POWERsolutions are ready-to-run Web server systems consisting of integrated factory-tested hardware and software that can be combined with service and support from IBM and IBM Business Partners to help customers establish a presence on the Web.
