MCI SELECTS Check Point FireWall-1 FOR MANAGED FIREWALL SERVICE

SPRING INTERNET WORLD, Los Angeles, CA -- March 11, 1997 – Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., (NASDAQ: CHKPF), the leader in enterprise security software, today announced that MCI is using Check Point™ FireWall-1™ as the managed firewall component of their networkMCI Intranet Services, also announced today. MCI will incorporate a managed firewall solution based on the FireWall-1 enterprise security software in both the networkMCI Intranet Builder and networkMCI Intranet Complete offerings to provide both on-site and complete, fully-managed end-to-end solutions to its corporate customers.

Preferred Enterprise Security Solution for Managed Services

Check Point Software has become the preferred enterprise security solution provider for managed firewall services primarily due to three technological differences: Check Point's flexible, comprehensive Open Platform for Secure Enterprise Connectivity (OPSEC) architecture; the product's unique enterprise management capabilities; and its fast and secure Stateful Inspection technology.
