TONY REED JOINS CHECK POINT SOFTWARE AS VICE PRESIDENT OF TECHNICAL SERVICES

Enterprise Security and Traffic Management Leader To Offer Best-of-Class Customer Support, Consulting and Training Programs

REDWOOD CITY, CALIF., – November 10, 1997 –Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKPF) today announced that Tony Reed has joined the company as vice president of technical services. Formerly director of professional services at McAfee Associates, Reed brings a wealth of experience in setting up industry-leading customer support programs, consulting services and training curriculums.

Most recently with McAfee, Reed spent four years with the anti-virus and networking vendor, starting up and growing the Professional Services department into three divisions, including the McAfee University. He implemented an entire range of new services and managed the service side through several acquisitions to effectively position McAfee as a leading customer service company in the industry. He also supervised large security, client/server network management and help desk projects while managing North America, Europe and Pacific Rim divisions, bringing the knowledge of worldwide support to Check Point's global operations. Prior to McAfee, Reed served as CIO at Poly-America, a plastic sheeting manufacturer, for eight years where his responsibilities included plant automation systems and implementing a large multi-site network.
