JERRY UNGERMAN JOINS CHECK POINT SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGIES AS EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT

(Nasdaq: CHKPF) today announced that Jerry Ungerman has joined the company in a newly created position as executive vice president. Formerly an executive vice president at Hitachi Data Systems, Ungerman brings to Check Point tremendous experience in managing large organizations and growing enterprise-level sales. As executive vice president of Check Point, Ungerman is responsible for the company's sales, marketing, business development and technical services organizations. He will focus on offering Check Point customers integrated best-of-breed solutions and services on a global basis.
