US Subsidiary CEO Transitions to New Role

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – March 1, 1999 – Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., the worldwide leader in secure enterprise networking solutions, announced today that it has furthered its process of making the company more global by both expanding and integrating its management team. As part of the process, Dr. Deborah Triant Rieman, founder, president and chief executive officer of the company's US subsidiary, has assumed a new role focused on long-term growth strategies and business relations. Rieman will also continue as a Director of the company.

This change reflects the globalization and integration of the company's operational units and management team, integrating the company's worldwide sales, marketing, business development and technical services organizations, and heading them by executive vice president Jerry Ungerman, as announced last November. The company has also formed a new global accounts sales organization, announced last month, and expanded the sales management team to meet the unique needs of its enterprise-level customers and partners.
