CHECK POINT SOFTWARE EXPANDS DISTRIBUTION, GAINING ACCESS TO HUNDREDS OF NEW RESELLERS

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -March 29, 1999 - Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., the worldwide leader in secure enterprise networking, announced today that it has signed a distribution agreement with GE Information Technology Distribution Group. This agreement makes Check Point Software's market-leading secure enterprise networking solutions available to the more than 1500 resellers serviced by Access Graphics and Integration Alliance, the GE IT Distribution Group businesses. "Signing GE IT Distribution as a Check Point Software distributor is a major step in the transition of our relationship with Sun Microsystems from an OEM relationship to a strategic ISV (Independent Software Vendor) relationship," said Jerry Ungerman, executive vice president of Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. The Check Point Software products included in the distribution agreement include FireWall-1, the market-leading enterprise network security solution; VPN-1 Gateway, the market-leading virtual private networking software solution and FloodGate-1, the policy-based, bandwidth management solution for Internet and intranet communications.
