CHECK POINT SOFTWARE AND ODS NETWORKS SIGN WORLDWIDE OEM AGREEMENT

Expanded OPSEC Partnership Allows ODS to Enhance new Security Offerings

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. and RICHARDSON, TX – November 1, 1999- Check Point Software Technologies (Nasdaq: CHKP) and ODS Networks (Nasdaq: ODSI) announced today the signing of a new strategic, worldwide OEM Agreement. Under the agreement terms, ODS will market and sell Check Point Software's entire line of enterprise security software solutions in conjunction with ODS' latest generation SecureCom 8000 series of security appliances and modular chassis systems. Check Point Software products offered by ODS include VPN-1™/FireWall-1, FloodGate-1™, Check Point RealSecure™, Meta IP™ and Check Point's new MultiGate™ solution for Point-of-Presence (POP) locations.

The new SecureCom products will offer Enterprise Customers and Managed Service Providers a broad range of flexible, high-availability chassis and appliance products designed to support Check Point Software's off-the-shelf security solutions based on standard Solaris and NT operating systems. In addition, the SecureCom family supports third party OPSEC Certified applications, including authentication, URL filtering, anti-virus, intrusion detection and reporting, to name a few, making it a best-of-breed platform for deploying Secure Virtual Networking (SVN).

The SecureCom solution offers an integrated and secure method of Internet access, routing, Virtual Private Networking(VPN) and LAN/WAN connectivity. SecureCom is designed to incorporate security applications and network management strategies, providing scalable and secure integration within a customer's existing environment. In addition to a high-speed interconnect fabric and port switching module, SecureCom currently supports Intel, HP and Sun Sparc processor modules.
