CHECK POINT SOFTWARE INTRODUCES NEW RELEASE OF MANAGED SECURITY SERVICES SOLUTION WITH DOUBLED CAPACITY

Provider-1 is Industry's only Solution Designed for Centralized, Multi-tiered Management of Large Scale Managed Security Services and Enterprises

GENEVA, Switzerland, Telecom99 – October 11, 1999 – Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced a new version of Provider-1, the industry's only security solution that enables centralized multi-domain customer management for telecommunications companies or managed service providers (MSPs) and large enterprises. Each Provider-1 system now can manage 100 separate customer network security policies—each with multiple VPN gateways—on a single server, significantly reducing operational costs and complexity for service providers and large enterprises.

Provider-1 represents a breakthrough for MSPs, enabling the management of outsourced network security based on Check Point's VPN-1/FireWall-1 for large numbers of multiple customers, each with multiple enforcement points. Multiple Provider-1 servers can be linked into a management server farm, providing scalability for hundreds of customer policies enforced at thousands of sites while maintaining a single management view.

Provider-1 also manages Check Point's new MultiGate, a solution that enables MSPs to provide high density aggregated point-of-presence (POP)-based Internet security services. With this Provider-1 release, Check Point's Secure Virtual Network (SVN) architecture significantly expands profit opportunities for MSPs who can now manage hundreds of customers representing thousands of VPNs and firewalls in highly scalable and leveraged deployments.

Provider-1 has quickly become the standard for telecommunications companies or MSPs and large enterprises for managing large-scale multi-domain security deployments.
