Launches a New Company to Bring Internet Security to the Home Market LOS ANGELES, Calif., WESTERN CABLE SHOW – December 14, 1999 – Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced that it has created a new company called SofaWare Technologies. The new company will adapt Check Point Software's market-leading technology to bring Internet security to home and home office users with broadband Internet connectivity. SofaWare's first product, HomeSecure!™, is a residential Internet security firewall based on Check Point Software's powerful Stateful Inspection technology.
