Activis Adopts Check Point's Provider-1 to Broaden Managed Security Services

(Nasdaq: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced that Activis, a global provider of managed security services, will integrate Check Point's Provider-1TM into its extensive managed Internet security service offering. The agreement enables Activis, part of the Articon-Integralis group, a European market leader in the IT security solutions sector, to provide its customers with the industry's leading security management solution designed to deliver scalable, multi-policy security management – vital elements for eBusiness growth and profitability. Today's announcement reflects a growing trend among service providers and telcos to incorporate solutions based on Check Point's Secure Virtual Network (SVN) architecture into their managed service offerings. Provider-1 is a key component of this unique architecture as it allows service providers and large enterprises to meet diverse and demanding requirements for large-scale VPNs/security.
