Check Point Enables Turnkey Security for E-Business Via New Linux OPSEC Appliance Initiative

(NASDAQ:CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced its OPSEC Appliance Initiative, which enables partners to deliver turnkey Internet security appliances based on Check Point's Secure Virtual Network (SVN) architecture. Check Point is collaborating with appliance vendors to integrate its VPN-1/FireWall-1 security products on the industry's widest range of appliance platforms. Through the OPSEC Appliance Initiative, customers can choose from a variety of security appliance choices that best meet their unique eBusiness computing needs. As part of the OPSEC Appliance Initiative, Check Point is certifying the appliances through its newly created OPSEC Certified Appliance Partner Program. The new program is centered around Linux-based appliances, leveraging the open source flexibility, reliability and performance of the Linux operating system.
