Check Point Software to Hold Major Internet Security Conference

Check Point's First User Conference & OPSEC Expo Draws
Worldwide Customers and Industry Experts

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. Feb. 8, 2000 Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ:CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced that it will hold its first ever Worldwide User Conference and OPSEC Exposition. The three day, multi-track Internet security event, "Check Point Experience", will bring together top-industry experts and Check Point customers from around the world for informative, in-depth discussions and presentations on critical Internet security issues, applications and implementations, including detailed presentations on Check Point's Secure Virtual Network (SVN) architecture.

Designed to benefit companies of all sizes that use Check Point solutions, the Check Point Experience will provide a rich forum for learning, exchanging ideas and discussing future challenges and ways to maximize enterprise security as a strategic and competitive advantage. Part of the conference will focus on the challenges and requirements involved in using the Internet as the basis for new E-Business initiatives.

Scheduled for March 15-17, 2000 in San Francisco, the conference features a number of keynote speakers and five educational tracks.

Featured keynote speakers:

  • Douglas Adams, best-selling author of "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy", will share his views on living in this virtual world.
  • Jim Daly, editor-in-chief of "Business 2.0", will discuss the coming demands and trends of E-Business in an Internet economy.
  • Jonathan Littman, author of "The Watchman" and "The Fugitive Game", will share his insight on Internet security threats and the mind of the hacker.

Educational tracks include:
  • Real World Applications: Leading Information Technology specialists from over 15 different companies who have implemented Check Point VPN and Internet security solutions will discuss their implementation experience in security for extranets, remote access, E-Commerce and other areas.
  • Business and Management: Analysts and systems integrators will cover the primary E-Business issues that are driving today's security decisions, including best practices and assessing security as an investment.
  • Products and Technology: Check Point product experts will lead in-depth technical discussions on Check Point products and the Secure Virtual Network (SVN) architecture, including enterprise management and client/server security.
  • System Administration: Technical staff will share insights on high performance, high availability, optimization and customization of Check Point products.
  • OPSEC Technologies: This track will feature panel discussions on critical security technologies that interoperate and integrate with Check Point's SVN architecture such as content security and PKIs.
