Check Point Software Holds Event for Europe and Middle East Partners in Israel; Second Event to Follow in Thailand

OPSEC Product Exhibition Features Event Co-Sponsors

RAMAT GAN, Israel – May 16, 2000 – Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced it began the first in a series of Partner Events this week. Due to record-setting attendance at last year's event, Check Point will host the first event in the Dead Sea, Israel, this week and the second event May 29- June 1, 2000, in Puhket, Thailand. Channel partners attending include the industry's leading systems integrators, value-add resellers (VARs), internet service providers (ISPs), managed service providers (MSPs) and telecommunications companies from across Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Attendance at the event in Israel is in excess of 450.

Highlights of the event in Israel include executive presentations on Check Point's Secure Virtual Network (SVN) architecture and joint market opportunities available for Check Point partners. Guest speaker Steve Hunt, vice president at Giga Information Group, Inc., will present the latest trends in Internet security and demands for an integrated security solution that encompasses intranets, extranets and VPNs.

Designed as solutions-focused, the event is divided into separate tracks for participants focused on Business or Technical scenarios. An additional track especially aimed at Managed Service Providers (MSP) uses Check Point's SVN architecture as a context for solving the challenges of managed security. The conference provides a rich forum for learning and discussing ways to maximize enterprise security as a strategic advantage and use the Internet as the basis for new E-Business initiatives.

The events are co-sponsored by over 30 Check Point Open Platform for Security (OPSEC) partners, including platinum-level sponsors: Compaq (NYSE: CPQ), Alteon WebSystems (Nasdaq: ATON) and Nokia (NYSE: NOK). In addition, both events feature an OPSEC product exhibition, where event co-sponsors demonstrate their hardware and software security solutions, allowing participants to explore new business relationships with various OPSEC partners as well as amongst themselves.
