(Nasdaq: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced that Telecom Italia SPA, the largest telecommunications provider in Italy, would incorporate Check Point Provider-1 into its managed security service offering called "BUSINESS FULL SECURITY." The agreement enables Telecom Italia to extend to its customers the very best in managed security services, including Internet security, based on Check Point Software's market-leading Secure Virtual Network (SVN) architecture. As a part of the agreement, Telecom Italia will also join Check Point's Certified Managed Service Providers (CCMSP) Program. The CCMSP Program is a category within Check Point Software's Open Platform for Security (OPSEC) Alliance and is central to Check Point Software's commitment to delivering carrier-class, flexible, manageable and cost effective solutions to telcos and ISPs.
