Check Point Software Surpasses 100,000 VPN Installations

83 Million VPN Clients Now Licensed

NEW YORK, July 10, 2001 - Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ:CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced it has surpassed 100,000 virtual private network (VPN) installations of its market-leading VPN-1/FireWall-1 Internet security software. In addition, Check Point revealed that it has licensed 83 million VPN clients. These major milestones encompass multiple market segments worldwide, including small to medium-sized businesses, large enterprises and managed service providers. In a separate announcement today, the company also announced the availability of Check Point Next Generation, the revolutionary new version of its product family, which delivers advanced VPN and security capabilities.
