Check Point Software Expands Presence In China

Leading Internet Security Vendor Establishes Subsidiary in China as Demand Grows for Secure Communications

Beijing, China - August 2, 2001 - Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced it has opened a new office in Beijing to provide local marketing, sales and technical support for the growing base of channel partners and customers in China. The new office adds to Check Point's direct presence in Asia Pacific, where the company has already established subsidiaries in Singapore, Australia and Japan.
