Check Point's Annual U.S. Internet Security User & Technical Conference Attracts Record Attendance

Next Generation Products Demonstrated for First Time REDWOOD CITY, Calif., March 14, 2001 - Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced that its second annual Internet security users and technical conference, the Check Point Experience, has drawn record crowds at nearly 1,000 in attendance. The conference, now into its second day, is being held in Nashville, Tenn. "As the leader in Internet security, Check Point Software sets the pace for professionals around the world," said Jerry Ungerman, executive vice president of Check Point Software Technologies. "The Check Point Experience user and technical conference has become one of the industry's most important forums for Internet security." This year's Check Point Experience gives customers and partners in-depth information and demonstrations of the company's upcoming new product family, Check Point Next Generation. Check Point Next Generation is designed to provide the highest levels of Internet security, while making security easy to use, understand, scale and manage. It is also designed to help companies dramatically cut communications costs through use of robust virtual private network (VPN) capabilities. The conference is also featuring presentations from 20 customers and partners as well as keynotes from Howard Anderson, founder and chairman of The Yankee Group and senior managing director of YankeeTek Ventures; Bruce Schneier, co-founder and chief technical officer of Counterpane Internet Security and best-selling author of six books on Internet security; and Check Point executives. In addition, the conference features in-depth product and technical presentations and a business-focused track for managers and executives.
