Check Point Unveils Next Generation User Interface New Security Dashboard Dramatically Simplifies Managing Internet Security

The Next Generation User Interface sets a new standard for ease-of-use and management simplicity. The security dashboard is fully customizable, allowing security administrators to view their entire security landscape or drill down to critical configuration details. New, powerful tools enable security managers to allow queries and perform network and security policy analysis for every object and rule in the security policy.

Also integrated into the Next Generation User Interface security dashboard is the Visual Policy Editor. This revolutionary policy management tool allows security managers to visualize and manage security policies using a detailed graphical map of their entire security deployment. The new tool improves security by illustrating the actual effect the security policy will have when it is enforced. The Visual Policy Editor also highlights precisely what traffic is permitted into a corporate network. Showing the impact of policy rules enables validation of the intent and integrity of a policy.

By seamlessly integrating the management of key security components (VPN, firewall, QoS) into one central management console, this new user interface enables scalable security for thousands of systems, applications and users, while minimizing complexity of enterprise Internet security deployment. The Next Generation User Interface has also integrated the following new key capabilities:

  • SecureClient policy editor for creating and managing granular client security polices

  • Account Management Module for managing user information in LDAP-enabled directories

  • System status viewer shows vital health information of third-party partner products through the Next Generation OPSEC SDK

Availability
