Industry Leaders Join Together For Check Point's Fourth Annual OPSEC Developers Conference

Conference Highlights Next Generation OPSEC Integration

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., October 17, 2001 - Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced that its fourth annual Open Platform for Security (OPSEC) Developers Conference attained record attendance of nearly 200 attendees. The two-day conference, currently being held in California is focused around integrating the industry's leading security solutions with Check Point's Next Generation product family.

Attendees are representatives from over 100 companies, both industry leaders and innovative start-ups, including: BMC Software, Crossbeam Systems, Entrust, F5 Networks, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Intel, Intrusion.com, Internet Security Systems, Network Robots, NFR Security, Nokia, Nortel Networks, Novell, Rainfinity, RSA Security, Sun Microsystems, SurfControl, Symantec, Trend Micro and VeriSign.

This year's OPSEC Developers Conference provides developers and business managers with in-depth technology information about the new OPSEC integration capabilities in Check Point's Next Generation security platform. Check Point Next Generation is designed to provide the highest levels of Internet security, while making security easy to use, understand, scale and manage. This year's conference also includes a new Business Track focused on enabling OPSEC partners to successfully promote their solutions with Check Point.
