Check Point Unites Channel and Technology Partners to Create the Industry's Strongest Group of Internet Security Experts

Company Will Detail New Partner Framework and Programs at The Check Point Experience

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Feb. 20, 2001 - Check Point Software Technologies (Nasdaq: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced a new partner framework that unites its multiple channel and technology partners around the world to create the industry's strongest group of Internet security experts that deliver, service, and support Check Point solutions. The Check Point Partner framework designates partners by their area of business focus, thus making it easy for customers to select the Check Point partner that best meets their specific business needs. The company will further outline the new partner framework and programs at the Check Point Experience, the Internet security event for Check Point users and partners. For more information on this premier Internet security event, visit www.checkpoint.com/experience.

Check Point's new partner framework classifies partners into three categories, with each category having new and/or enhanced programs to support varying partner business models - ranging from value-added solution providers to managed service providers to certified support partners:

  • Solution Partners - over 1,500 partners who distribute and resell, install and integrate, or provide managed/outsourced security for Check Point solutions
  • Service Partners - over 250 partners that provide education, support or consulting services on Check Point solutions
  • OPSEC Partners - over 270 partners who develop applications and platform solutions that integrate into Check Point's Secure Virtual Network (SVN) architecture

"Check Point's success has come not only from great products and technologies, but also from our strategic focus on partnerships," said Jerry Ungerman, executive vice president, Check Point Software Technologies. "Our new partner framework and programs are an important step forward in our partnership strategy and a testament to our commitment to partners and customers."
