Sofaware Technologies Unveils First Platform for Delivery of Managed Internet Security Service to the Home
New Management System Enables MSOs and ISPs to Easily Deploy, Provision and Bill for Value-added Internet Security Services
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Oct. 1, 2001 - SofaWare Technologies, a Check Point Software Technologies (Nasdaq:CHKP) company, today announced its new Safe@Home Security Management Platform (SMP). Safe@Home SMP is the first Internet security management platform to enable multiple service operators (MSOs) and Internet service providers (ISPs) to quickly and efficiently deliver valued-added Internet managed security services to consumers.
The robust SMP management solution is specifically designed to manage Safe@Home, SofaWare's fully integrated suite of consumer Internet security software based on market-leading FireWall-1 technology from Check Point Software. Safe@Home protects the entire home and home office including all types PCs and other non-PC Internet-enabled devices from a single Safe@Home gateway based in a cable modem, DSL modem or router. It will also provide future capabilities for VPN services.
