Distribution Agreement Expands Check Point's Reach into SMB Market; Extends Industry-Leading Web Security to Tech Data Offerings
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., and CLEARWATER, Fla., Oct. 8, 2001 — Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, and Tech Data Corporation (NASDAQ: TECD), a leading global provider of technology products and logistic management services, today announced an agreement by which Tech Data will distribute Check Point's VPN-1®/FireWall-1® Small Office® security software through its premiere network of more than 100,000 resellers and integrators. This partnership strengthens Tech Data's suite of security offerings by adding the industry's leading vendor and enables Check Point to extend its reach into the small and medium business market.
Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 Small Office is a software solution that delivers enterprise-class security to small businesses and enterprise remote offices. VPN-1/FireWall-1 SmallOffice provides full firewall protection as well as integrated site-to-site and remote access VPN capabilities for offices with up to 50 nodes.
