Forbes Magazine Names Check Point Software Best Performing Internet Company

Check Point selected for exceptional growth, revenue and profits REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Jan. 3, 2002 - Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ:CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced that it has been named the best performer in Forbes.com's study of Internet-related stocks. The study examined 46 companies over a period from mid-1998 to December 2001, tracking financial performance, stock appreciation and relativity to the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 500. Study results and analysis were published in a Forbes.com study titled "Web Stock Scorecard". In the review, Check Point is applauded for not only its stock appreciation of 655 percent during this period, but also for excellent business execution, which lead to exceptional growth in revenues and profits of approximately 200 percent over the last two years. According to Forbes: "Check Point lived up to its promise as a high growth company: sales increased to $425.3 million in 2000 from $142 million in 1998.
