Check Point Announces Worldwide Agreement with HP

Customers to Benefit from End-to-End Security Through Integrated Check Point and HP Solutions

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. - July 16, 2002 - Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced an agreement with HP (NYSE:HPQ) to deliver end-to-end VPN/security solutions to enterprises of all sizes worldwide.

As part of the agreement, Check Point's market-leading VPN-1®/FireWall-1® software will be deployed across multiple operating systems including Linux, Windows and HP-UX to secure every element of an enterprise network - including gateways, servers, clients and mobile devices. The Check Point solutions will be available on a range of HP hardware including ProLiant servers and iPAQ handhelds. Additionally, Check Point will continue to increase support for the 64-bit version of the HP-UX operating system, integrating the Itanium processor family, so as to expand the number of Check Point solutions available to customers.

The new integrated security solutions will be brought to market through a worldwide reseller agreement that includes cooperative sales efforts, deployment expertise and technical support. Through this agreement, HP's direct sales force, security practice consultants and worldwide channels network will offer customers Check Point's full suite of industry-leading virtual private networking (VPN), firewall and security management solutions.
