Intrusion Announces New Appliances to Deliver Internet Security to ISP's, Small Offices and Enterprise Branch Offices

Intrusion PDS 500 Series and PDS 700 Series Address the Security Needs of Customers, Regardless of Size, through Appliances Which Integrate Check Point Technology

Richardson, TX, March 12, 2002 - Furthering the commitment of providing customers of all sizes with a full range of enterprise class VPN/security appliances, Intrusion Inc. (NASDAQ: INTZ), a leading provider of enterprise security solutions for the information-driven economy, today announced availability of the Intrusion PDS 501, PDS 502, PDS 701 and PDS 702 VPN/security appliances integrating technology from Check Point Software Technologies' (NASDAQ: CHKP) subsidiary, SofaWare. These new PDS appliances are based on the SofaWare S-box hardware and are pre-installed and pre-licensed with one of the following Check Point market-leading VPN-1®/FireWall-1® software solutions: Safe@Home™, Safe@Home Pro™, Safe@Office™ or Safe@Office Plus™.

ISP's - MSP's, small offices/home offices (SOHO) as well as enterprise remote and branch offices (ROBO) require a low cost, all-in-one solution to meet growing security needs. Intrusion's new security appliances coupled with Check Point software solutions will meet these requirements and offer this growing market segment an easily manageable solution.

The Intrusion PDS 501 integrates Safe@Home technology and is an ideal firewall solution for offices or homes with up to five nodes. PDS 501 is offered at a US MSRP of $299.

The Intrusion PDS 502 integrates Safe@Home Pro technology adding remote office to headquarters VPN capability for the five-node office or home. PDS 502 is offered at a US MSRP of $399.

The Intrusion PDS 701 integrates Safe@Office technology delivering a site-to-site and remote access VPN and firewall to offices with 10 or fewer nodes. PDS 701 is offered at a US MSRP of $599 and will be available in May.

The Intrusion PDS 702 integrates Safe@Office Plus, which delivers the same state-of-the art technology as Safe@Office to offices with 25 or fewer nodes. PDS 702 is offered at a US MSRP of $1,199 and will be available in May.
