Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. Achieves Q3 Targets

Quarterly Earnings Release Scheduled for October 17

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., October 2, 2002 - Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced preliminary results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2002. Consistent with prior guidance, the Company expects to report revenues of $103 to $104 million, earnings per share of $0.25 and deferred revenues at the same level as last quarter.
