Quarterly Earnings
Release Scheduled for October 17
REDWOOD CITY, Calif.,
October 2, 2002 - Check Point Software
Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing
the Internet, today announced preliminary results for the third
quarter ended September 30, 2002. Consistent with prior guidance,
the Company expects to report revenues of $103 to $104 million,
earnings per share of $0.25 and deferred revenues at the same level
as last quarter.

to investors, we decided to make an announcement in advance of publication
of the full financial results for the quarter," said Gil Shwed,
chairman and chief executive officer of Check Point. "We want
to reaffirm to investors that our earnings are going to be in line

to generate strong earnings and quality results in the current economic
environment. In the third quarter, we continued to strengthen our

report its full financial results for the third quarter after the
