Resilience Beats Cisco by 6x VPN Performance and 1.5x Firewall Performance for Less Than Half the Price

The Resilience DX4000 is purpose-built as an Integrated High Availability (IHA), upgradeable security solution. Recent price/performance analysis of a comparably configured Resilience DX4000 and a Cisco PIX 535 showed the Resilience DX4000 VPN price/performance at $42.50 per Mbps, and the Cisco PIX 535 VPN price/performance at $695.00 per Mbps -- establishing the DX4000 as 16 times more cost effective. Further analysis of the same products showed the DX4000 performed at $17.00 per Mbps of firewall throughput, over 3.5 times more affordable than the Cisco PIX 535 at $66.00 per Mbps of firewall throughput. Overall, the Resilience DX4000 delivers six times the VPN performance and one and a half times the firewall throughput of the Cisco PIX 535, at less than half the cost.
