on a Single Platform
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., March 26, 2002 - Check Point Software
Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq:CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing
the Internet, today announced Check Point
VPN-1/FireWall-1 VSX, a new carrier-class multi-policy Internet
security solution for service provider and corporate data centers.
Through software virtualization and the utilization of VLAN
technology, VPN-1/FireWall-1 VSX scales Check Point's market-leading
VPN-1/FireWall-1 to create up to 100 separate virtual systems

lowers the hardware investment required to deliver security
from the data center in addition to reducing time and effort
to provision separate security policies.
"With VPN-1/FireWall-1 VSX, market-leading VPN-1/FireWall-1
can now scale to support 100 data center customers or 100 VLAN's
in a corporate data center from one single hardware platform,"
said Carol Stone, vice president, worldwide marketing, Check
Point Software Technologies. "This scalability dramatically
shortens provisioning of security from the data center while
increasing operational efficiency."
VPN-1/FireWall-1
VSX delivers resilient security for non-stop network availability
and wire speed security utilizing Check Point's SecureXL performance
technology for multi-gigabit throughput. Additionally, VPN-1/FireWall-1
VSX delivers simple provisioning and management of customer
security policies with:
- a simple
three-step provisioning process for creation, configuration,
and enforcement
- global
policies for enabling one-click policy application to all
customers
- an intuitive
security dashboard for easy navigation and management
With the
introduction of VPN-1/FireWall-1 VSX, service providers are
now able to efficiently deliver Check Point's market-leading
VPN-1/FireWall-1 to many customers or VLAN's with a scalable
