Check Point Expands Virtualized Large-Scale Security Family for High-End Customers

Enhanced VPN-1/FireWall-1 VSX enables cost-effective network-based security and centralized management of multiple sites or customers

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., — Jan. 21, 2003 — Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq:CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced an expanded family of products for high-end and service provider customers. The new VPN-1®/FireWall-1® VSX product family expands Check Point's unique management capabilities to centrally manage multi-site, multi-customer deployments with up to 250 virtualized systems running on a single platform. Highlights of Check Point's enhanced VPN-1/FireWall-1 VSX includes support for:

  • Provider-1® and SmartCenter™ management platforms for multi-domain, multi-customer management
  • Secure routing between different virtual segments using Virtualized LAN (VLAN) technology
  • Overlapping IP domain spaces for simplified network provisioning
  • SmartDefense™ to deliver the industry's highest level of security for attack prevention and protection against known and unknown attacks.
