Provides Customers with Protection Against Exploits

its InterSpect internal network security solution defends against
potential threats that can exploit the SOCKS protocol.
The SOCKS protocol is used by proxy servers to handle requests
from clients and forward these requests across the Internet. Trojans
or backdoor programs can use the default SOCKS port (TCP/1080) to
bypass firewalls, resulting in remote code executing and data theft.
Check Point provides customers with the best network and application-level
security protection for dynamic Internet threats such as exploits
of the SOCKS protocol. Customers using the SmartDefense Service
benefit from real-time updates and advisories that provide protection
against such new and emerging threats.
