CRYPTOCard Receives Check Point Software OPSEC Certification for CRYPTOAdmin 4.01 and ST-1 Software Token

Check Point™ FireWall-1 Customers Can Now Confidently Deploy CRYPTOCard's Easy-to-Use, Low Cost-of-Ownership Authentication Tokens to Protect Networks via Dynamic Passwords

Kanata, Ontario, December 22, 1999 – CRYPTOCard, a leader in strong user authentication, today announced that the company has received OPSEC ™ (Open Platform for Secure Enterprise Connectivity) Certification for its token management software, CRYPTOAdmin 4.01 and its platform-independent ST-1 100% Pure Java™ software token from Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKPF).

The OPSEC Certified CRYPTOAdmin 4.01 enables security administrators to protect networks with dynamic, rather than static, passwords over their web, dial-up, broadband, telnet, and ISDN environments via CRYPTOCard tokens -- including the newly released KF-1 key chain token and PT-1 token for Palm™ handheld devices.

Now, Check Point Software customers can host CRYPTOAdmin 4.01 with any OPSEC Secured access or security server. Furthermore, CRYPTOCard now supports Check Point Software users with customized documentation to help administrators get quickly started using strong authentication in their OPSEC Secured environment.

CRYPTOAdmin 4.01 is the platform for the company's array of tokens: the RB-1 portable card, the ST-1 100% Pure Java™ token, the CT-1 command line virtual token and the new KF-1 and PT-1. CRYPTOCard tokens generate and display a one-time password through an event-synchronous method of authentication called QuickLog™. Based on the world standard Data Encryption Standard (DES) algorithm, the QuickLog method provides users with a unique new password for each logon attempt. CRYPTOCard tokens are a one-time purchase, with no predetermined expiration date, providing customers with a significant value over competing alternatives.

CRYPTOAdmin 4.01 server runs on Windows NT, Linux, Solaris, AIX and FreeBSD and the client software runs on Windows 95 and 98, Windows NT, Linux, Solaris, AIX, and FreeBSD.
