Enstar Networking Corporation Opens Check Point Software Technologies Authorized Training Center in Dallas

DALLAS, TX - May 21, 1997 - Enstar Networking Corporation today announced the opening of a training facility in Dallas which will function as a Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. Authorized Training Center (ATC) delivering security engineer certification for the Check PointTM FireWall-1TM enterprise security solution. Enstar's Dallas training facility will deliver high-quality training for end-users and resellers using Check Point Software products.

The training center expands Enstar's client service capabilities by expanding its range as a full-service network integrator providing connectivity solutions, quality training and certification programs for its customers. The training center in Dallas is designed to certify network professionals in network security technologies and will serve Enstar's clients in territories covering Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. A second Enstar training center which will also function as a Check Point Software Technologies ATC is planned to open in Minneapolis, in June.

Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., with U.S. headquarters in Redwood City, Calif., is the first corporate partner using the Enstar training facility. Participants who successfully complete the Check Point FireWall-1 product training classes will build the necessary skills to understand, configure and troubleshoot network security problems beyond the laboratory environment and will become Certified Check Point Security Engineers (CCSE).

"Enstar is a proven industry leader in providing network security services and products," said Jacqueline Ross, vice president of marketing at Check Point Software Technologies, Inc. "By opening the ATC in Dallas and another in Minneapolis, Enstar enhances its ability to provide security service excellence as another valuable customer service for its clients."

CCSE training is essential for corporate network and systems administrators who want to install and maintain Check Point Software's network security software to protect their company's network against hacking and unauthorized access.

"Our training facilities provide us with another way to service the sophisticated network security requirements of our customers." said Franklin Smith, vice president for network security at Enstar. "We have designed this training center to meet the demanding educational needs of our customers for high quality products and services which build, maintain and protect their networks," he added.

In addition to network security, Enstar's service areas include network planning, network implementation, network maintenance and product fulfillment. Along with its Dallas office, Enstar Networking Corporation has regional offices in Minneapolis, Atlanta and Chicago, with satellite offices in Milwaukee and Fargo. Minneapolis-based ENStar Inc., (Nasdaq: ENSR, formerly North Star Universal, Inc.) is committed to providing Enstar Networking Corporation with the human, strategic and financial resources to grow its business for the benefit of its customers, vendors and employees.
