Integralis Announces OPSEC-compliant MIMEsweeper for FireWall-1

Leading Content Security Solution Integrated With Check Point FireWall-1

Kirkland, WA, April 28, 1997—Integralis today announced its participation in the Check Point OPSEC (Open Platform for Secure Enterprise Connectivity) Alliance and introduced MIMEsweeper for FireWall-1, which integrates MIMEsweeper's email, Web and FTP content security features with Check Point Software Technologies' Check PointTM FireWallTM, the award-winning network security solution. This combination of products provides a powerful security solution to enterprises concerned about threats from the content of data that is sent and received through their Internet connections. The partnership embodies the spirit of the OPSEC Alliance, which, with more than 80 members, is committed to eliminating the hassles of security management on the enterprise.

MIMEsweeper for FireWall-1 offers a unique set of content security and control features such as on-line anti-virus scanning of email, Web and FTP data. Other MIMEsweeper content security features include protection of confidential information, screening for inappropriate content, junk email management, Java applet and script control, authentication of ActiveX applications, email archiving and examining attachments by size and type. MIMEsweeper provides a shield against on-line security threats automatically and transparently to end users.

Commented Victor Woodward, president of Integralis, Inc., "MIMEsweeper addresses a newly recognized set of security issues known as content security. Until now, access security and virus protection have topped the list of security concerns. MIMEsweeper is the newest component out there, and it is the perfect complement to firewalls and virus engines. We're very excited to be working with Check Point in creating a rigorous security solution that examines what's in a data stream as well as where it's going."

"The OPSEC Alliance provides a new level of security by ensuring that different technologies work together to create a complete and hassle free solution," said Asheem Chandna, vice president of business development for Check Point Software Technologies. "Integralis' focus on content security elements beyond virus detection makes them a strong value-added partner, delivering solutions that customers require."
