WebSENSE Delivers Seamless Integration of Content Screening for Check Point FireWall-1 through OPSEC Certification

San Diego, January 6, 1998 – NetPartners Internet Solutions, Inc. announced that its WebSENSE Internet Screening System has achieved OPSEC™ (Open Platform for Secure Enterprise Connectivity) Certified solution status from Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. OPSEC delivers the industry's first enterprise-wide security framework through which customers integrate a full spectrum of security applications, defined and driven by a single enterprise-wide security policy.

WebSENSE support of the OPSEC standards delivers award-winning screening technology for the Check Point™ FireWall-1 enterprise security solution. OPSEC certified status is granted only to solutions which have undergone rigorous testing by Check Point Software. The certification ensures WebSENSE and Firewall-1 operate together at peak performance. WebSENSE is configured via the FireWall-1 rule base, giving administrators the flexibility to set screening protocols based on users and/or groups of users.

WebSENSE Internet Screening System for FireWall-1 is a firewall based Internet monitoring, reporting, and filtering software tool. It is used by businesses, schools and libraries to establish and enforce custom Internet access policies, and eliminate undesirable Internet content. WebSENSE generates logs for user-defined reporting with the WebSENSE Reporter.

WebSENSE uses the industry's largest database list of sites defined into 29 categories for powerful and easy-to-use customizable screening. The Master Database list includes web sites, chat rooms and newsgroups in most languages. All database entries are reviewed by trained personnel for correct categorization.
