Trend Micro Announces Alliance with Check Point Software Technologies

(Nasdaq: CHKPF), a leading provider of policy-based enterprise security and traffic management solutions. Under the terms of the agreement, Trend Micro will become a member of Check Point Software's OPSEC (Open Platform for Secure Enterprise Connectivity) Alliance, the industry's leading enterprise security initiative. Trend Micro will also be the first member of the OPSEC Alliance to support the newest version of the OPSEC Content Vectoring Protocol (CVP). Trend Micro's first implementation of the CVP will be in InterScan VirusWall 2.6 for Sun Solaris, making Trend the first anti-virus company to successfully implement CVP for a Unix environment. By implementing CVP on Solaris, Trend is providing fail-safe anti-virus protection that is integrated into the firewall for maximum efficiency and ease in administration.
