Finjan Software Achieves OPSEC Certification From Check Point Software

Finjan SurfinGate to Integrate with Check Point's FireWall-1 and VPN-1

San Jose, Calif., May 25, 1999 – Finjan Software, Inc. announced today that it has been accredited with the internationally recognized OPSEC Certification by Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP) for its enterprise mobile code security solution, SurfinGate version 4.03. OPSEC (Open Platform for Secure Enterprise Connectivity) Certification ensures that SurfinGate and Check Point FireWall-1 and VPN-1 operate together for seamless administration and operation, and centralized, policy-based management.

Finjan's SurfinGate, a gateway-level content-inspection software solution, allows companies to centrally set and enforce security policies for Internet mobile code, including JavaScript, Java, and ActiveX, with smart filtering for Visual Basic Script, cookies and plug-ins. Mobile code has been used to steal, alter or erase computer files and gain unauthorized access to corporate networks.
