This follows Check Point Software's (NASADQ: CHKP) recent announcement to welcome market leading public-key infrastructure (PKI) vendors to OPSEC as part of its open PKI initiative, which is based on a technology roadmap that calls for interoperability with leading PKI vendors. By becoming a member of the OPSEC Alliance, ValiCert will work closely with Check Point Software and its OPSEC members to continue to further the widespread acceptance and use of PKIs in global VPN-1 environments. As part of this commitment, ValiCert will soon expand its suite of application vendors to include VPNs of other vendors, as well as provide full-service cross-validation among all certificate authorities supported by Check Point Software, including Entrust Technologies.
