Baltimore UniCERT PKI Solution receives Check Point OPSEC Certification

Baltimore Technologies is among the first to provide an integrated Open PKI and VPN solution with Check Point through the accreditation of Baltimore UniCERT™ under Check Point's OPSEC Program

Dublin, Ireland, April 20, 2000 - Baltimore Technologies (NASDAQ: BALT;London:BLM), a global leader in e-security solutions, today announced that its award winning Baltimore UniCERT Certificate Management system is among the first open Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems to seamlessly interoperate with Check Point Software Technologies' VPN-1/FireWall-1, providing customers with an advanced PKI based Virtual Private Network for secure, authenticated e-business. This integration of Baltimore UniCERT certificate management system with Check Point'sVPN-1/FireWall-1 is part of Check Point's OpenPKI initiative and conforms to Check Point's Open Platform for Security (OPSEC) framework reinforcing Baltimore's commitment to open, standards-based technology.
