Rainfinity's Rainwall FW + VPN is First Software Solution to Receive OPSEC Certification for Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 High Availability with Load Balancing

Breakthrough Software Eliminates Need for Layers of Dedicated Hardware and Software to Achieve High Security, Performance and Availability of Internet Operations

SAN JOSE, CA - September 25, 2000 - In another major milestone for fast-growing Rainfinity, the provider of Internet Reliability SoftwareTM, the company's Rainwall FW + VPN has become the first software solution to receive OPSEC (Open Platform for Security) Certification for high availability with load balancing from Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP) for Check Point's VPN-1/FireWall-1 4.1 security software products.

"The importance of this achievement to Rainfinity as a validation of our core RAIN technology, and of the effectiveness of our software, cannot be overstated," said Olivier Helleboid, Rainfinity's CEO. "Of the over 250 Check Point OPSEC partners, we are the first software company to receive certification for high availability with integrated load balancing, and the second company overall to do so. Coming from a market leader like Check Point, this is an enormous compliment to Rainfinity, and sets a quality benchmark that we will continue to work to justify."

To achieve its OPSEC certification, Check Point put Rainwall FW + VPN through an exhaustive series of tests under a variety of operating conditions to prove its performance and its ability to integrate seamlessly with Check Point's VPN-1 and FireWall-1 . As an OPSEC certified partner, Rainfinity can offer Check Point customers a high availability, load balancing software-only solution that is scalable, effortless to install, cost effective and guaranteed compatible with VPN-1 and FireWall-1.

"As mission-critical eBusiness applications are deployed more extensively across VPN's, customers are demanding high availability and additional options for scalability," said Bradley Brown, director, business development, Check Point Software Technologies. "The combination of VPN-1/FireWall-1's advanced clustering capability with Rainfinity's Rainwall ensures high availability and high performance for vital eBusiness operations."
