Gilian Technologies' G-Server Solution Receives OPSEC Certification From Check Point Software Technologies
|
Redwood City, CA - August 2, 2001 - Gilian Technologies, Inc., today announced that it has received OPSEC (Open Platform for Security) certification for G-ServerÔ, a Web site security and availability solution, from Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet. Through OPSEC certification, Gilian's high-performance security technology seamlessly integrates with Check Point's industry-leading VPN-1/FireWall-1® software, an integral part of the Secure Virtual Network (SVN) architecture. Using digital signatures to detect Web site vandalism, the G-Server not only verifies the outbound flow from a Web server, but also proactively traps fraudulent data, replacing it with archived mirrors of the original data. As an exit control appliance independent of the Web server, the G-Server maintains availability and authenticity. Via open OPSEC interfaces, the G-Server application can now interoperate with Check Point's VPN-1/FireWall-1 software to notify security administrators of any change attempts. "We
are pleased to see Gilian Technologies achieve OPSEC certification
for its G-Server solution," said Upesh Patel, Manager
of the OPSEC Alliance for Check Point Software Technologies.
"The integration of G-Server with Check Point's VPN-1/FireWall-1
offers customers a best-of-breed web content security solution
for proactively detecting and preventing malicious attacks
at web servers." About
