Resilience Launches New Line of Continuous Availability Appliances with the Secur-FT VPN/Firewall

Sunnyvale, CA - December 4, 2001 - Resilience Corporation, the Continuous Availability Company, today announced that its new product, the Resilience® Secur-FT™ VPN/Firewall appliance, has been certified as "Secured by Check Point" from Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., the worldwide leader in securing the Internet. Resilience's Secur-FT VPN/Firewall solution is the first fully fault-tolerant appliance certified by Check Point, providing non-stop uptime for enterprise Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and firewalls. The Secur-FT is one of several "Designed for Availability" appliances that will be introduced by Resilience over the next year.

Integrating the unprecedented reliability of Resilience's Continuous Availability server with Check Point's market-leading VPN-1®/ FireWall-1® software, the Secur-FT is the first security appliance to deliver maximum availability without the cost and complexity associated with High Availability cluster failover solutions. The Resilience Secur-FT is an enterprise-ready VPN/firewall that provides built-in continuous availability, making complicated set-up and administration, investments in specialized cluster management software and redundant software licenses unnecessary.

The Secur-FT VPN/Firewall appliance runs on a hardened version of the rock-solid Solaris operating system for complete protection from security breaches or network vulnerabilities. For fast, trouble-free deployment, Check Point software is pre-integrated and has been rigorously tested to ensure interoperability and the most secure VPN/firewall environment. If any hardware component fails including the CPU, memory, I/O Controller or power supply, the firewall or VPN continues to protect the enterprise without interruption or data loss.
