RSA Keon Product Offerings Interoperable with Check Point Next Generation

RSA Security Certifies Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 Next Generation as"RSA Secured Keon Ready"

BEDFORD, Mass., Nov. 1, 2001 - RSA Security Inc. (NASDAQ: RSAS), the most trusted name in e-security, today announced that it has certified Check Point™ Software Technologies' (NASDAQ:CHKP) VPN-1/FireWall-1 Next Generation (NG) security solutions as "RSA Secured RSA Keon Ready" with the RSA Keon product family. Specifically, RSA Security has certified that the RSA Keon Certificate Authority (CA), RSA Keon Desktop and RSA Keon Web PassPort solutions are fully interoperable with Check Point NG.

The RSA Keon CA is designed to be fully compatible with Check Point's market-leading VPN-1/FireWall-1, allowing digital certificates issued by the CA to be incorporated in the Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 gateway, SecureClient™ and SecuRemote™ software. New support in Check Point NG SecureClient and SecuRemote allows for RSA Keon user credentials to be retrieved from RSA Keon Web PassPort and RSA Keon Desktop directly by the Check Point client software. RSA Security and Check Point's combined customers benefit by utilizing two industry-leading solutions - RSA Keon PKI software for user credential management, and Check Point NG for secure communication.
