SuperScout Web Filter v2.1 on Solaris for Check Point's VPN-1/FireWall-1 Now OPSEC Certified

Expands Platform Choice for Customers

Scotts Valley, CA (October 23, 2001) - SurfControl, the number one Internet filtering company in the global security market, today announced that it has achieved Check Point Software Technologies' (NASDAQ: CHKP) OPSEC (Open Platform for Security) Certification for its SuperScout Web Filter v2.1 on Solaris. OPSEC certification means that SuperScout now seamlessly integrates with Check Point's industry-leading Next Generation VPN-1/FireWall-1.

SuperScout Web Filter enables network managers to easily define, manage and enforce their organization's Security and Internet Acceptable Usage Policies, thereby increasing security and productivity, optimizing network bandwidth and reducing legal liability. The Windows NT version of SuperScout Web Filter was OPSEC certified in September 2000. The addition of the OPSEC certified Solaris version provides customers with a wider choice of platforms.
