WebWasher Enterprise Edition for Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 Achieves OPSEC-Certification

Increased Efficiency for Enterprise-Level Internet Content Filtering

Paderborn, Germany - July 27, 2001 - Webwasher.com AG, a leading global developer of Internet content filtering software backed by German electronics giant Siemens, today announced that it has received OPSEC™ (Open Platform for Security) certification for its Linux version of WebWasher® Enterprise Edition (EE) from Check Point™ Software Technologies (NASDAQ:CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet. OPSEC certification for WebWasher EE enables an 'all-in-one' enterprise-level solution for Internet Content Filtering and Internet Access Management that seamlessly integrates with Checkpoints VPN-1®/FireWall-1.

WebWasher's certification for Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 will advance enterprise security by allowing companies to integrate customized Internet content filtering with their existing security infrastructure. Among the security threats filtered from the Internet (HTTP) data stream by WebWasher EE are invasive "ActiveX Controls" and "exe-files" that, when invoked or executed, can read, delete or co-mingle data files. WebWasher EE offers companies genuine protection from the legal risks of objectionable content with Internet access control. The software also save the privacy of users from transmitting addresses of internal Web pages which could provide an intruder a path to internally stored data.

Dr. Horst Joepen, CEO of webwasher.com: "We're excited to achieve OPSEC certification for WebWasher EE that creates new opportunities for enterprise solutions. Through our membership into the OPSEC, WebWasher delivers best-of-breed and leading Internet content filtering software to the industry's standard in Internet security - Check Point's Secure Virtual Network (SVN™) architecture."

"We are pleased to see WebWasher EE achieve OPSEC certification. WebWasher EE for VPN-1/FireWall-1 offers advanced filtering technology for the corporate environment and eases the challenge of managing Internet usage in the workplace," said Upesh Patel, manager for the OPSEC Alliance for Check Point Software Technologies. "OPSEC certification ensures that WebWasher EE has been verified as interoperable with Check Point's industry-leading VPN-1/FireWall-1 security software."
