ArcSight Furthers Commitment to Integrating with Market Leading Security Products

Sunnyvale, Calif., June 18, 2002 - ArcSight, a leading provider of enterprise security management software solutions, today announced that it has achieved OPSEC (Open Platform for Security) Certification from Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP). OPSEC certification ensures that ArcSight's platform for centralized management of security data from any type of source seamlessly integrates with Check Point's leading VPN-1®/FireWall-1® Next Generation software.

The ArcSight software solution enables companies to quickly put an enterprise-wide framework around their security infrastructure by automating the control, correlation, investigation, and reporting of all data generated by any source of security-relevant information. As Check Point's VPN and firewall technologies are key elements of many organizations' IT "systems of defense," OPSEC Certification underscores ArcSight's commitment to rapid and unobtrusive integration with existing and planned security infrastructure.

"Integration with market-leading security products is a top priority for ArcSight, as we're committed to making our solution work within our customers' security environments," said Larry Lunetta, vice president of marketing. "Companies need to be able to leverage the tools that they've already invested in, and at the same time have a system in place for centralized control and management of the security process."

"The ArcSight Platform provides customers a global view of security events, giving them better visibility of their entire enterprise from a security perspective," said Upesh Patel, manager of the OPSEC Alliance for Check Point Software Technologies. "We are pleased to see the product integrate with the OPSEC framework and achieve OPSEC Certification."

The OPSEC program, which includes more than 300 industry partners, requires a rigorous certification process to ensure that its members' solutions interoperate with Check Point's market-leading VPN-1®/ FireWall-1® Next Generation software.
